HARRISBURG – Rep. Karen Boback (R-Columbia/Luzerne/Wyoming) is reminding residents about a free tax preparation service available through the IRS Free File Program, which helps taxpayers who earn $57,000 or less annually. The program, which was instituted in 2003, offers free assistance with tax preparation and online filing through a partnership between the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the Free File Alliance, which is a coalition of tax software companies.

It will visit the Dallas Shopping Center on Memorial Highway in Dallas on Friday, Jan. 20, and on Friday, Feb. 17. Both visits will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
