DALLAS – Rep. Karen Boback (R-Lackawanna/Luzerne/Wyoming) has organized two drug forums to be led by professionals and local experts to educate local communities on the opioid epidemic devastating families, neighborhoods, our Commonwealth and our country.
LUZERNE – The Concealed Carry Seminar, set for Thursday, Oct. 12, from 6-8 p.m. at the Luzerne Volunteer Fire Department, 66 Tener St., Luzerne, has reached capacity. The seminar was organized by Reps. Karen Boback (R-Lackawanna/Luzerne/Wyoming), Aaron Kaufer (R-Luzerne) and Tarah Toohil (R-Luzerne).

HARRISBURG – Rep. Karen Boback (R-Lackawanna/Luzerne/Wyoming) today announced her outreach events and satellite hours for September. Representatives from several different organizations will offer assistance at her district offices throughout the month.
WHAT: Rep. Karen Boback (R-Lackawanna/Luzerne/Wyoming), together with Misericordia University, will host a free Healthy Habits and Wellness Event for residents of the 117th Legislative District. The event is designed to offer information on how to make healthy lifestyle choices. Breakout sessions on a variety of topics will be offered, including social media, scams and fraud, Lyme disease and more. Several community groups will hold demonstrations and offer information regarding nutrition, safety, exercise, and available programs in the area. A drug drop box will be on site.
TUNKHANNOCK – Rep. Karen Boback (R-Lackawanna/Luzerne/Wyoming) has released the breakout session and special presentation schedule for her Healthy Habits and Wellness Expo, set for Wednesday, Aug. 9, at Misericordia’s Insalaco Hall from 3-7 p.m. In addition to the sessions, over 25 vendors will be on site to educate residents about local programs and services. The theme of this year’s expo is Healthy Body + Healthy Mind = Healthy Life.
