DALLAS – Rep. Karen Boback (R-Lackawanna/Luzerne/Wyoming) along with Misericordia University, will host a Healthy Habits and Wellness Event on Wednesday, Aug. 9, at Misericordia’s Insalaco Hall from 3-7 p.m. The event will feature over 25 vendors and will include special informational presentations.
Presentations will cover a range of topics, including Keeping Safe on Facebook and Social Media, Healthy Food Preparation, Yoga and You, Paint and Relax, and more.
“Last year’s inaugural Healthy Habits and Wellness expo was a great success, and I am thrilled to once again offer this event for all residents of the 117th District,” said Boback. “There is something for everyone at our Healthy Habits and Wellness event. I encourage area residents to attend this special expo on Aug. 9. Based on feedback from last year’s event, we have changed the hours to accommodate residents who work during the day so more folks can attend.”
PennDOT will be on site to share information about teen driving safety, and the Luzerne County District Attorney’s office will bring a prescription drug drop box for the safe disposal of medication.
This is a free event. For more information, visit RepBoback.com
