TUNKHANNOCK – Rep. Karen Boback (R-Lackawanna/Luzerne/Wyoming) invites residents of the 117th Legislative District to attend one of the two concealed carry seminars she will be hosting in April.

“I am frequently asked about these well-attended events, which is why I’m hosting two of them in two distinct parts of the district,” Boback said. “These seminars offer a unique opportunity for both potential and experienced firearm owners to better understand Pennsylvania’s firearms laws.”

Both events will be held from 6-8 p.m., with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. on the following dates:
  • Thursday, April 11 - Wyoming County EMA Building 3880 State Route 6 East, Tunkhannock. Scheduled speakers are Wyoming County District Attorney Jeffrey Mitchell and Sheriff Edward H. Sherman.

  • Thursday, April 25 - Back Mountain Regional E.M.A. Building 3593 State Route 118, Lehman Township. Scheduled speakers are Luzerne County District Attorney Stefanie Salavantis and Sheriff Brian Szumski.

Limited seating is available for both seminars, which will only be held if a sufficient number of people sign up to attend.

To pre-register, please call Boback’s district office at 570-675-6000 or 570-836-4777.

The 117th District consists of Wyoming County in its entirety; in Lackawanna County, the borough of Dalton and the townships of Benton, La Plume and West Abington; and in Luzerne County, the boroughs of Dallas and Harveys Lake and the townships of Dallas, Fairmount, Franklin, Hunlock, Lake, Lehman and Ross.
